The Austin Film Festival is dedicated to championing the work of aspiring and established filmmakers, defined as screenwriters, directors, editors, producers, actors and all those artists who use the language of film to tell a story. The AFF furthers the art, craft and business of filmmaking by providing unique cultural events and services, enhancing public awareness and participation, and encouraging dynamic and long-lasting community partnerships.

There are end of the world films that go so over the top that they are truly unbelievable and then there are the ones that make you wonder if it’s really possible. Well ARMAGEDDON tops them all. When word gets out that a Texas sized meteor is racing towards earth, who else would NASA call but Bruce Willis? A group of ruff neck oil drillers are sent in to outer space to save the world from obliteration in a film that could be considered one of the guiltiest pleasures of them all.

Presented by Austin Film Festival, in partnership with The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and sponsored by the Texas Film Commission, the Made in Texas Film Series features a program of movies filmed in Texas. All movies are screened at 7:30pm on the first Wednesday of each month from March - September at the Bullock's Texas Spirit Theater. Special guests including cast and crew attend with each film.
