The Austin Film Festival is dedicated to championing the work of aspiring and established filmmakers, defined as screenwriters, directors, editors, producers, actors and all those artists who use the language of film to tell a story. The AFF furthers the art, craft and business of filmmaking by providing unique cultural events and services, enhancing public awareness and participation, and encouraging dynamic and long-lasting community partnerships.

The Austin Film Festival is a not for profit 501c3 corporation.

Garrett Basch

Garrett Basch runs development & production at Steven Zaillian's Film Rites, a writer-driven company that produces intelligent entertainment from both established and emerging talent.

His slate includes the recently-wrapped Welcome to the Rileys, directed by Jake Scott and starring James Gandolfini, Kristen Stewart, & Melissa Leo, and upcoming projects from filmmakers such as Mike Nichols, Errol Morris, Sacha Gervasi, & Mabrouk El Mechri.

Basch previously worked on Zaillian's American Gangster and All the King's Men.  He began in production at Katalyst on the set of Sony's Guess Who and MTV's Punk'd.
