James Crowley

James Crowley has been actively involved in the film industry for more than 16 years. Crowley started his career by working in the locations department on the film Flesh & Bone. He has since worked with some of the film industry's top film makers on features such as Clint Eastwood's A Perfect World, Steven Soderberg's The Underneath, Richard Linklater's SuBurbia, John Lee Hancock's The Rookie, Walt Disney's Hidalgo and as the Production Supervisor on Luke Wilson's directorial debut The Wendell Baker Story.
In the fall of 1997, Crowley Co-Produced Fool's Gold, which was accepted into both the Sundance and South by Southwest film festivals. Crowley's feature film directorial debut, The Journeyman, which he also wrote, won the Audience Award at the 2001 South by Southwest Film Festival. From there, Crowley was the Supervising Location Manager and Scout for The Chronicles of Narnia films. Crowley covered the globe for the three films but left the series in 2008 to direct the Polish feature film ‘Funio’ in Warsaw.
Hyperion Books will publish his first novel, Starfish, in 2010. James Crowley resides in Austin, Texas.
