The Austin Film Festival is dedicated to championing the work of aspiring and established filmmakers, defined as screenwriters, directors, editors, producers, actors and all those artists who use the language of film to tell a story. The AFF furthers the art, craft and business of filmmaking by providing unique cultural events and services, enhancing public awareness and participation, and encouraging dynamic and long-lasting community partnerships.

Mike Curtis

MIKE CURTIS has been involved in digital media production for over 15 years. He's worked with visual effects, motion graphics, and digital video post production. Recently he's dedicated himself to focused research on HD video and how independents can use it for high quality, low cost moviemaking that can be ultimately transferred to film. In 2005, he launched HDForIndies.com, where he posts his latest research, findings, and musings on HD technology, news & workflows.
