Funny Shorts: Making Comedy Films

Ask any writer; it’s easy to make someone cry, but can you make them laugh? In this class students will examine the special skills it takes to make funny movies. From comedic timing to slapstick, learn about how comedy works and why. Then students will work on their own short films, beginning with learning how to write a screenplay and finishing with editing a successful short film sure to cause a case of the giggles. Students will receive a DVD of their work after the Summer Film Camp Showcase in August.
