The Austin Film Festival is dedicated to championing the work of aspiring and established filmmakers, defined as screenwriters, directors, editors, producers, actors and all those artists who use the language of film to tell a story. The AFF furthers the art, craft and business of filmmaking by providing unique cultural events and services, enhancing public awareness and participation, and encouraging dynamic and long-lasting community partnerships.

The Austin Film Festival is a not for profit 501c3 corporation.

Jack Leslie


Jack is currenttly President of Production of The Donners’ Company, the production company owned by husband/wife team of Richard Donner (director of 16 Blocks, Goonies, The Lethal Weapon Series, The Omen, Superman, etc.) and Lauren Shuler Donner (producer of The X-Men Series, You’ve Got Mail, Constantine, The Free Willy Series, etc.).  The company recently released X-Men 3 and She’s the Man, which Jack also wrote and produced.  Next up is Unaccompanied Minors which Warner Bros. is distributing in December.  He is also developing a variety of other projects including Cirque du Freak at Universal, based on the best-selling series of books and adapted by Oscar winner, Brian Helgeland; Hotel for Dogs at Dreamworks; and the best-seller, The Secret Life of Bees, at Fox Searchlight.

 

Before joining the Donners, Jack spent several years at Fox 2000, where he set up and developed such projects at Fever Pitch, Dragon Ball Z, Roll Bounce, Flicka and Aquamarine.  He also worked on the films Soul Food, Never Been Kissed and Men of Honor.

 

After attending Pepperdine School of Law, Jack started his film career in the mail room of the William Morris Agency and went on to work for an agent who represented writers, actors and directors.  He also spent a year as VP of features for John Wells Productions based at Warner Bros.  Jack currently reside in the Pacific Palisades with his two Pit-Bulls, Mack and Luka.
