MIKE AKEL wrote, directed and produced the mockumentary Butcher’s 15 in 2000. The next three years he taught TV/Film at William B. Travis high school and developed youth film programs which included co-founding the Austin Student Digital Film Festival. From his first hand experience teaching he began writing his feature film debut Chalk.
