The Austin Film Festival’s popular Pitch Competition is back for its ninth year and it's an event you won’t want to miss. This unique event allows contestants to pitch their own original ideas to a panel of judges made up of agents, producers and managers in a relaxed and friendly environment.

You’ll have 90 seconds to give your best pitch and then the panel of judges will critique and score your overall performance. The top two finalists from each session will go on to participate in the Pitch Finale Party on Saturday, October 22. The overall winner will receive a prize package including a Producers Badge for the 2012 Festival!

Who knows what might happen? Last year, Mike Fry (“Over the Hedge”) optioned Lee Hoverd’s screenplay “Ex-Men” after hearing his pitch as a judge for the competition.
