The Austin Film Festival is dedicated to championing the work of aspiring and established filmmakers, defined as screenwriters, directors, editors, producers, actors and all those artists who use the language of film to tell a story. The AFF furthers the art, craft and business of filmmaking by providing unique cultural events and services, enhancing public awareness and participation, and encouraging dynamic and long-lasting community partnerships.

The Austin Film Festival is a not for profit 501c3 corporation.

Richard Bever

Richard Bever is founding partner and President of Rough House Productions, a Los Angeles based film production and finance company, whose first film, In Memory Of My Father, is opening theatrically in November. Before Rough
House, Richard was the Head of Development/Production at Andrew Lauren Productions (NYC/LA), which produced The Squid and The Whale during his tenure, as well as self-distributed the film G onto 500 screens nationally. Richard, who received his BA in Business Administration at the University of Texas, returns to Austin every chance he gets.
