The Austin Film Festival is dedicated to championing the work of aspiring and established filmmakers, defined as screenwriters, directors, editors, producers, actors and all those artists who use the language of film to tell a story. The AFF furthers the art, craft and business of filmmaking by providing unique cultural events and services, enhancing public awareness and participation, and encouraging dynamic and long-lasting community partnerships.
The Austin Film Festival is a not for profit 501c3 corporation.
Richard Bever
Richard Bever is a Los Angeles-based producer and co-president of the production company Chill Films. Bever is the former Head of Development and Production at Andrew Lauren Productions, which produced the Oscar-nominated film THE SQUID AND THE WHALE during his tenure. Richard is a Co-Executive Producer on the Sundance 2009 film, AGAINST THE CURRENT by Peter Callahan.
He and his Chill Films partners are developing the film adaptation of Pagan Kennedy's novel, CONFESSIONS OF A MEMORY EATER, with director Brad Anderson (THE MACHINIST; TRANSSIBERIAN), writer Bragi Schutt and producer Tripp Vinson of Contrafilm. Richard and Chill Films are also packaging: the horror project BLOOD LETTER written by Michael Bucklin/Drew Gabreski and to be directed by David A. Armstrong (SAW I-VI) and produced alongside Diana Williams of Exit5 Entertainment; KING OF PRUSSIA by wr/dir Dan Schechter; and the 2007 AFF Screenplay Competition Award Winner SLUGGER written by Jimmy Miller. Richard is currently in post-production on the feature AUDREY written by Sybil Temtchine/Dean Pollack and directed by Dean Pollack.
