The Austin Film Festival is dedicated to championing the work of aspiring and established filmmakers, defined as screenwriters, directors, editors, producers, actors and all those artists who use the language of film to tell a story. The AFF furthers the art, craft and business of filmmaking by providing unique cultural events and services, enhancing public awareness and participation, and encouraging dynamic and long-lasting community partnerships.

Special Effects

For every raging blizzard or battle in space, there’s a team of special effects technicians doing their best to make sure audiences believe the danger is real. Learn special effects from the pros in this fun and exciting class. Students will use a green screen to transport themselves to another world and gain skills in computer graphic manipulation and in-camera special effects. Students will receive a DVD of their work after the Summer Film Camp Showcase in August.
