The Austin Film Festival is dedicated to championing the work of aspiring and established filmmakers, defined as screenwriters, directors, editors, producers, actors and all those artists who use the language of film to tell a story. The AFF furthers the art, craft and business of filmmaking by providing unique cultural events and services, enhancing public awareness and participation, and encouraging dynamic and long-lasting community partnerships.
The Austin Film Festival is a not for profit 501c3 corporation.
John Turman
John Turman is a writer-producer for Film and Television (HULK, FANTASTIC FOUR II: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER.) In addition to feature work for many of the major studios he has also written for TV, creating half hour comedy and one hour drama pilots, as well as writing and consulting on one hour series television and MOWs. In 2008-09 he taught guest-intensive classes in writing and rewriting the feature screenplay as an adjunct Professor at USC School of Cinema Arts. Currently: BEN 10: ALIEN SWARM premieres on Cartoon Network this November and production begins in Baton Rouge, LA on an original feature, TICKING CLOCK. Studied Journalism in college, entertainment law at UCLA School of Law and began his career as a storyboard artist.
