Very Early Works

Thursday August 2nd • Very Early Works @ 7:30pm, Alamo Drafthouse Lakecreek, FREE for members, $4 for public (map)

Austin Film Festival is proud to present Very Early Works, a showcase of films made by some of the top names in the Austin film community when they were young. You'll see what these middle school auteurs were doing before they made it in film. We'll have filmmakers live and in person to explain their early visions and what their processes were back in the day. Join us for a celebration of the VHS format. Featuring works by Mike Akel (CHALK), Steve Collins (GRETCHEN), Scott Rice (PERILS IN NUDE MODELING), Jeffrey Travis (FLATLAND) and David and Nathan Zellner (REDEMPTITUDE). Plus films from Toddy Burton, Jef Greilich, John Merriman, and Don Swaynos.

FREE for AFF members, $4 for non-members.
