AFF offers 4 Badge levels for entry into our October festival. Badge holders not only have priority entry into all 8 days of films, they also receive entry into  Conference Panels (days dependent on badge level). Discount for Screenplay and Film Entrants
Did you submit a script or film in the 2014 competitions? If so, you are eligible for a $50 discount off the current price for a Producers or Conference Badge (does not apply to Weekend and Lone Star Badges). Please call our office at 1-800-310-FEST or e-mail us at info@austinfilmfestival.com to get the discount code if you did not receive it already. Only those credited for the script or film can use the discount. Please do not share the discount code. We will refund any badges purchased at the discounted rate less any processing fees for anyone that is not credited for a submitted script or film.

Badge Add-Ons

 

  • Film & Food: Attend the 12th Annual Film & Food Party on Wednesday, October 22 – the yearly fete that kicks off the Festival & Conference. Film & Food is an evening dedicated to honoring Austin as both a nationally recognized thriving film industry and a renowned culinary hotspot. Held in the glamorous and historic Driskill Hotel, this evening of flowing cocktails and innovative cuisine, presented by some of Austin’s hottest restaurants, brings together Austinites and visitors alike to celebrate the arts. It’s a great time to rub elbows with some of the top filmmakers and screenwriters in town for the Festival. The event will be a gathering of creative minds, with industry icons joined by Austin’s culinary talents.
  • Awards Luncheon: Each year at the Festival, Conference and Producers Badgeholders gather at The Austin Club in the historic Millett Opera House to celebrate the year’s honorees and competition winners at the Awards Luncheon.
  • Pitch Competition: AFF’s Pitch Competition is back for its 12th year! This exhilarating and unique event allows contestants 90 seconds to pitch their best ideas to a panel of judges made up of agents, producers, managers and screenwriters in a constructive and friendly environment. The top finalists will participate in the Pitch Finale Party on Saturday, October 25th, and the winner will receive a prize package including a Producers Badge for the 2015 Austin Film Festival & Conference. Make sure to get your ticket now as this event sells out every year. Who knows what might happen? At the 2010 Pitch Competition, Mike Fry (OVER THE HEDGE) optioned Lee Hoverd’s screenplay EX-MEN after hearing his pitch as a judge for the competition.

Badge Policies

  • Purchasing Badges For Multiple People: If you are purchasing badges for multiple people, you will be asked to enter the names that should appear on each of the badges after clicking add to cart. If you need to change these names, please contact info@austinfilmfestival.com or call 1-800-310-3378.
  • Your Badge Photo: All Badge holders are required to have their pictures printed on their credentials (Film Pass holders are not required to send in a photo.) After purchasing your badge, please visit the Badge Photo Upload Page to upload your photo and complete your registration process. If we do not receive your photo, your Badge WILL NOT be available for pickup at pre-registration, and you can expect a 1-2 hour wait at registration while we take and print your picture on-site.
  • REFUND POLICY: Refund requests for the upcoming Austin Film Festival must be in writing and sent by U.S. first class mail, postmarked by July 5, 2014, and all refunds will incur a $75 processing fee. After July 5, 2014, all payments are nonrefundable for any reason, including but not limited to illness, acts of God, or travel-related problems. Badges are non-transferable and are the property of Austin Film Festival, Inc. Refunds will be issued either via the original method of payment or other method approved by Austin Film Festival, if such original method is not available. Registrants paying by check will be contacted for valid credit card information to enable their refunds. Unused registrations cannot be credited for future year’s attendance.
  • Badges and privileges may be revoked at any time for any reason without liability to Austin Film Festival. You hereby release and hold harmless Austin Film Festival, Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, successors, assigns, and licensees, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims resulting in attendance of an Austin Film Festival, Inc. event.
  • Special events may require purchase of separate ticket for entry. If you have any questions about the Festival or your membership or badge purchases, please contact info@austinfilmfestival.com or call 1-800-310-3378.
  • Film Admission Policy: Badge holders and Film Pass holders MUST be in line no later than 20 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Priority admission is given to all Badge holders. Film Pass holders will be seated after all Badge holders have entered the theater. General Admission tickets will go on sale 20 minutes prior to each screening. Once General Admission tickets have gone on sale, Badge holders and Film Pass holders will no longer have priority admittance. Badge holders and Film Pass holders arriving AFTER the 20 minutes mark must go to the back of the General Admission line. ALL theater seating will be on a first come, first served basis. Neither Badge holders nor Film Pass holders are guaranteed a seat, only admission up to capacity.  NO ONE will be admitted into the theater 15 minutes after start time. Austin Film Festival Staff will adhere to this policy even in the event of a delayed screening.
