OR
Six Square sessions will be taking place at Holy Cross Catholic Church
First Baptist Church is located at 901 Trinity St, Austin, TX, 78701
The drop-off and pick-up location for camp will be taking place on the east side of the church on Neches Street, between E 9th and E 10th Streets in the Circle Drive.
For returning campers, this is where drop-off and pick-up were located in 2022. Please note that the driveway is one-way only.

When you drop off your camper, you will be asked to sign in. An intern in a Summer Film Camp shirt will bring a sign-in sheet to your car.
If you are running late, please email yfpdirector@austinfilmfestival.com.
Please arrive 20-30 minutes prior to the start of camp to ensure that your camper is checked in and settled before class begins.
There will frequently be more than one camp happening at the church at once. We want to ensure that the drop-off/pick-up process goes as smoothly as possible, so we will have our staff wearing Summer Film Camp shirts, and we will have a table with an Austin Film Festival tablecloth.
Look for our logo:
When you pick up your camper, you will be asked to sign out. We will only allow children to be picked up by the person/people that the parent has authorized in their Summer Camp Packet.
We will bring the campers outside to the above location right at the end of camp. Do not come into the church to pick up your camper.
If you need to pick up your camper early, please tell us at drop-off. We will bring your camper down to the pick-up area at the appropriate time – once again, do not come into the church to pick up your camper. Please give us an exact time that you will be arriving to pick up your camper, not a window of time.
Parents (or authorized persons) arriving later than 30 minutes after the completion of a class section will incur a late fee of $10 and an additional $1 per minute if later than 45 minutes after the completion of a class.
Thank you in advance for your patience with the drop-off and pick-up process! We expect that, as each week progresses, the process will get easier for us and for you.
General Guidelines For Camp:
- Cell phones and other electronic devices are not allowed to be used during class times. Students who bring a cell phone to camp must keep it stored away and turned off during class. Cell phones will be confiscated until the end of the day if they are visible to an instructor.
- Making a film is a collaborative effort. This means campers will be working with campers they may or may not know. If you registered your camper to take this class with a friend, we cannot guarantee that your camper and their friend will be paired together due to class size and other variables. Please encourage your camper to be open at the opportunity of working with other campers.
- Camp staff will be strictly enforcing the following rules to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all campers. Parents or guardians will be notified with a phone call and email if their camper behaves in a way that is disrespectful or disruptive to class or if they break one of the following rules:
- NO bullying, threats, or harassment
- NO violence (hitting, fighting, biting, shoving)
- What should my camper bring?
- Snacks
- A lunch if your camper is here all day
- A water bottle with plenty of water
- A creative and collaborative attitude
If you have any last-minute questions before or during camp, please let us know! You can email us at yfpdirector@austinfilmfestival.com or call the Austin Film Festival office at 512-478-4795.
